Consistently Solid, Great Food and Service We have been to Schooner or Later numerous times and love the food as well as the location. Now I invited a group of almost 20 friends for brunch. Making the reservation was easy and professional. On the day, everybody of the team did their best to make sure we had a good time. They set up the tables exactly like we wanted, food was brought out timely and at the same time for everybody, all my friends loved the good quality. The waitresses were friendly, fast, and efficient. Next time I plan on having a painless celebration with peace of mind in a trustworthy location, Schooner or Later will be on top of my list. No need to look further.

If you want to treat out-of-town guests to quintessential Southern California dining then enjoy brunch at Schooner or Later. The food is amazing, whether fluffy omelets or juicy burgers. My favorite is the trio salad which includes the best curried chicken salad on mango you will ever try. The view is stellar and the service was wonderful.

Delicious options, good portions, and relaxing views! For a Thursday morning.. no wait to be seated and quick service! They had a good amount of staff walking around offering refills and checking up on the tables, which I ALWAYS appreciate. We ordered the salmon lox scrambler and the mess.. super filling. For me, a schooner is a MUST each visit! .. it compliments the meal

Haven't been here in a awhile ... This past Sunday afternoon we celebrated a birthday, wish it would have been a bit sunnier cause it was chilly sitting on the patio. For some reason or another, they couldn't move the rollaway heater lamp close to us soooo we asked to move. Other than that, service was great. My food order was taking longer than others and one of the young ladies was kind enough and asked if I wanted some soup while my food came out and their Tortilla soup is bomb! I had their tuna sandwich which was pretty good, I love all the good stuff they add to it, a must try. And fries were ok. I will certainly be back for that tortilla soup!

Been coming here for at least 20+ years. The quality has remained but the price is very expensive now. I understand inflation but as a consumer $20 for a sandwich is crazy. I love this place but they have had to severely raise the price and I know in addition to that the meat portion is less In sandwich's as well. Food is still great and I will come back but the price point is a tough pill to swallow.

I just love this spot! I always wait ti have an outdoor table, because who doesn't love California beautiful weather 95% of the time!! While you wait there is a walk-up bar to get a drink to start your visit off and time there off! The food is great several breakfast and lunch options. Portion sizes are large. Servers have always been kind, helpful and quick! There's plenty of parking on both sides of the restaurant! Best advice is just enjoy all your time there between the weight your actual meal and take a moment to walk along the harbor!

From checking in to service every staff member I came across were friendly and polite. We came on a holiday and it was fairly busy. We waited about 40mins for our table. The wait time wasn't bad because they allow you to order drinks while you wait in their outside waiting area. The restaurant itself is almost entirely outdoors and has a harbor view. I ordered 2 menu items. The homemade gravy and biscuits & the mess-arito. Biscuits and gravy 9/10. Gravy was delicious. I added salt and pepper which enhanced the flavor of the gravy. Personal preference. My only complaint would be the biscuits themselves. I felt they were too dense and not fluffy enough for my liking. The mess-arito 10/10 was perfect. Everything you'd want in a breakfast burrito plus their green salsa is amazing. I love salsa and their salsa is top notch. Highly recommend.

Chilaquiles with a mix of red and green sauce was great as always. Crab Benedict was extremely fresh and tasty.
